It was a night of heartfelt emotions and mutual admiration when Adele paused her Las Vegas residency show to embrace her musical hero, Céline Dion, seated in the audience. The October 26 encounter at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace—the same venue originally designed for Dion’s iconic residency—was a touching highlight that left both stars visibly moved.

Performing "When We Were Young", Adele spotted Dion and immediately approached the edge of the stage to greet her. Fans captured the emotional moment, showing Adele in tears as she hugged Dion. The Canadian songstress reciprocated the sentiment, holding Adele's face in her hands and sharing a heartfelt exchange before they parted ways.

The evening was especially poignant given the venue's shared history. Adele openly expressed her reverence for Dion, saying, “I don't wanna play in a room where Celine was—I wanna play in the room that was built for her." The moment marked a full-circle achievement for Adele, who had previously attended Dion’s residency at the same theatre in 2018.

This mutual admiration runs deep. Adele has long declared herself a superfan of Dion, even treasuring a framed piece of her gum, which she once described as her “proudest possession”. Meanwhile, Dion has previously praised Adele’s talent and humour, cementing a bond between these two legendary performers.

As Adele’s residency approaches its November finale, this encounter underscored the depth of her connection to the Colosseum and to Dion, a relationship that has shaped her journey as an artist.
