Ariana Grande Surprised with Iconic Glinda Wand on The Drew Barrymore Show

Ariana Grande had a magical moment during her recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. The pop star and actress, who’s playing Glinda in the highly anticipated Wicked movies, was presented with the original wand used by Billie Burke in the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz.

Drew Barrymore set the stage for the big reveal by teasing that she had something “extremely exciting and special” to share. Moments later, a staff member appeared with the wand, on loan from its private owner. Grande, dressed in a pink strapless gown reminiscent of Glinda’s signature look, was visibly stunned.

“Are you serious right now?” Ariana exclaimed, covering her mouth in shock as she carefully held the wand. She even joked about leaving the show with it, quipping, “Thank you, guys, it’s been fun,” before quickly admitting she was kidding.

Barrymore was equally thrilled, noting, “You look so perfect with it!” The surprise had everyone on set buzzing, with Barrymore revealing, “We were all so excited about you coming here that we thought, ‘OK, let’s get the wand.’”

The brief moment blended old Hollywood charm with modern-day star power, as Grande got to hold a piece of cinematic history that perfectly aligned with her role as the iconic Good Witch.
