Benito “Bad Bunny” Martínez Ocasio will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LX halftime show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Feb. 8, 2026, the N.F.L., Apple Music and Roc Nation announced. The live telecast will air on NBC and marks one of the largest global platforms for a Spanish-language artist in recent Super Bowl history.
The halftime special will be produced by DPS in partnership with Roc Nation, with Jesse Collins and Roc Nation serving as executive producers and Hamish Hamilton listed as director. The production partnership continues Roc Nation’s multi-year relationship with the league.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, Bad Bunny framed the booking as a moment that extends beyond his own career. “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown … this is for my people, my culture and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL,” he said.
Bad Bunny rose from San Juan’s underground scene to become an international chart force, with major hits that include “MÍA,” “I Like It,” “Dákiti” and “Me Porto Bonito.” He is a multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy winner whose crossover success has helped push Spanish-language music into mainstream U.S. markets. Industry executives and artists say the booking signals the continued normalization of Latin music at large-scale American cultural moments.
The choice was met with praise from Jay-Z, whose Roc Nation imprint produces the halftime show. Jay-Z said Bad Bunny’s work “for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring” and that the company was “honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.” The announcement follows weeks of public speculation about potential headliners, including high-profile names whose touring schedules and commercial footprints made them plausible candidates.
Bad Bunny has frequently used his platform to speak on social issues affecting Puerto Rico, and his public statements in recent months underscored his attention to immigration and island politics. He is also scheduled to appear on the broadcast comedy stage: Bad Bunny will host and appear as musical guest on the upcoming season premiere of Saturday Night Live.
The Super Bowl halftime show remains one of television’s biggest cultural moments, routinely drawing more than 100 million viewers. Producers say they intend to build a set and performance that reflect Bad Bunny’s identity and international audience while meeting the technical demands of a global live broadcast. Details about guest performers, set design and narrative direction will be released as the production schedule tightens.
