BLACKPINK’s Rosé has found herself at the center of controversy as questions arise over whether her promotional efforts for Grammy consideration may have crossed the line.

As is customary, artists vying for nominations often send promotional packages to Academy voters, typically containing music and supporting material. Rosé was among those who participated, but one particular section of her submission has drawn heavy scrutiny.

A promotional page highlighting her solo release “APT” included claims about streaming numbers and global impact. Critics argue that the information, which referenced “nearly 2 billion views,” could be a misrepresentation of her achievements. The Recording Academy explicitly prohibits misleading or exaggerated data in promotional materials, particularly when it comes to streams, charts, or awards.

While such packages are permitted under Academy rules, there are strict guidelines regarding how information is presented. Some industry observers believe Rosé’s materials may fall into a gray area, as the figures did not cite specific streaming platforms or exact numbers.

Still, the accusations have fueled online debate, with some netizens demanding her disqualification from Grammy consideration. The Recording Academy has not commented publicly on the matter, and it remains unclear whether any action will be taken.
