Cardi B knows how to command attention, and this time she took her album rollout straight to the heart of New York City. On September 12, the rapper was spotted inside a subway car, personally promoting her upcoming album, Am I the Drama?, which is due out on September 19.

Holding up physical copies of the project, Cardi interacted with commuters in the style of a classic street hustler, joking about selling her music as if it were the late 1990s. “Good evening, everybody. I am trying to change my life around. I used to be a ballerina. Trying to make a better example for my kids,” she quipped as she moved through the car.

The Bronx native showcased multiple editions of the album, including a special “Court Edition” featuring trial-themed cover art, and was even seen pocketing cash after a fan made a purchase.

While an unexpected rat encounter briefly broke the flow of the stunt, Cardi quickly bounced back, keeping the spotlight on her upcoming release. By bringing her promotion to the subway, she reminded fans that her roots and her creativity remain firmly tied to New York City.
