Cardi B is taking promotion back to the pavement. Ahead of her highly anticipated sophomore album Am I The Drama?, set for release on September 19, the Grammy-winning rapper hit the streets of New York City to personally “sell” copies of the project.

In a clip shared across her social media, Cardi laid out a rug stacked with CDs featuring the album’s multiple cover variants. “My label said I gotta get out in these streets and sell this album,” she quipped, blending humor with nostalgia as she offered the project to passersby.

The stunt quickly resonated online, with fans celebrating the grassroots energy and drawing parallels to the mixtape culture of the early 2000s. “Old-fashioned promo, love to see it,” one fan wrote on X, while another called Cardi a “comedic genius” for her unconventional marketing.

The sidewalk rollout follows weeks of creative teasers. Just days ago, Cardi went viral on TikTok with a preview of her new track “Bodega Baddie,” complete with a fake pregnancy bump that left fans buzzing before realizing it was another tongue-in-cheek promotional tactic.

Am I The Drama? marks Cardi’s first full-length since her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy, which won a Grammy for Best Rap Album. The upcoming project spans 23 tracks and includes previously released singles “Outside” and “Imaginary Playerz,” the latter sampling Jay-Z’s 1997 hit.

Beyond the music, Cardi has hinted at her first major tour in six years, promising fans that dates will be revealed “very, very soon.”
