Jared Leto Faces Sexual Misconduct Allegations From Nine Women

Jared Leto has been accused of sexual misconduct by nine women, according to a detailed investigation published by Air Mail on June 7. Some of the women allege that the actor and musician, now 53, behaved inappropriately toward them when they were underage.

The report outlines a series of incidents stretching back to the 2000s, suggesting what some sources described as a "longstanding pattern" of concerning behavior. Several women shared allegations involving sexual questions, inappropriate exposure, and uncomfortable encounters—many of which reportedly took place while they were still teenagers.

Among the accounts, model Laura La Rue claims she met Leto at an animal rights benefit at age 16 in 2008. She says the two connected over email before she visited his studio in 2009, where she alleges he flirted with her and later walked out of a room completely nude when she was 17. A representative for Leto told Air Mail that their communication was neither sexual nor inappropriate and claimed that La Rue had applied to work for him—a claim she denies.

Other women shared similar stories, including one who said Leto called her at home late at night and began asking explicit questions after she had declined an invitation to a party. She says she was 16 at the time. Another woman alleges that, during a visit to Leto’s home when she had just turned 18, he exposed himself, masturbated in front of her, and then placed her hand on him while making a sexually explicit request.

One woman said that when she attended a party at Leto’s home at age 18, she was “definitely not the youngest person there.” She claimed that many of the guests were encouraged to skinny dip. A nightlife promoter who organized events at Leto’s home told Air Mail he “never saw anyone skinny-dipping,” and Leto’s representative denied any impropriety.

Recent attention on Leto’s behavior resurfaced last month when DJ Allie Teilz, who dated Leto publicly for several years, reposted a 2012 Facebook status on Instagram accusing him of assaulting her when she was 17. Leto’s team has called her allegations “demonstrably false.”

In a statement to Air Mail, a representative for Leto “expressly” denied all allegations and said the actor has been sober for over 35 years.
