Jennifer Lopez Stays Composed as Onstage Bug Crawls Up Her Neck
The singer didn’t miss a note during the unexpected insect encounter in Kazakhstan

Jennifer Lopez proved once again that she’s the definition of stage professionalism after an uninvited guest tried to steal the spotlight during her recent concert in Kazakhstan.
Midway through a performance, a cricket landed on the 56-year-old singer’s midsection and began climbing her costume. As the insect made its way toward her neck, Lopez continued singing without hesitation. She then calmly flicked the bug away in one smooth motion, drawing cheers from the crowd.
“It was tickling me,” she told fans with a smile, rubbing her neck before moving seamlessly into the next moment of the show.
The clip, shared on Lopez’s On The JLo Instagram account, was captioned with a playful nod to the incident: “Plot twist: @JLo just started rehearsals for Kiss of the Cricket Woman… on stage… in real time. 😂💋🦗.”
Fans praised her composure, with one calling the moment “really fun… but so professional at the same time.” Others joked that the cricket was “lucky” to get that close to the superstar.
It’s not the first time Lopez has handled an onstage surprise with humor. Just last month in Warsaw, Poland, her skirt fell off mid-performance, revealing her underwear. Instead of breaking her stride, she laughed about it, tossed the skirt into the crowd, and continued the show, proof that even the most unexpected moments can become part of the performance.
