Joe Jonas Opens Up About Dating Again After Divorce from Sophie Turner

Nearly a year after finalizing his divorce from actress Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas shares how he's been navigating life and love post-split.

In a recent interview with TalkShopLive, the Jonas Brothers singer spoke candidly about the inspiration behind “Only Love,” a track from his newly released solo album Music for People Who Believe in Love. Jonas revealed that the song was rooted in a recent dating experience, reflecting on what it felt like to open up to someone again after his high-profile breakup.

“I was seeing somebody at the time, and I was kind of having this idea of dating again,” Jonas said. “It was really scary and intimidating. Love takes different shapes and forms, and I was rediscovering what that was.”

He shared that during that time, his date jokingly brushed off the emotional weight of it all by saying, “It’s only love.” But for Jonas, the moment struck a deeper chord.

“I was like, ‘OK, it’s a big deal to me,’” he explained. “And a big deal to them, too. But it’s OK to take a leap of faith and just try again and just put yourself out there.”

The singer, 34, quietly dated model Stormi Bree earlier last year, though the relationship ended in the spring. Turner, meanwhile, was most recently linked to British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, though reports in recent weeks have hinted at a potential split.

Jonas’s new project appears to signal a new chapter, not just musically, but personally as well.
