Justin Bieber has addressed growing public concern over his mental health, and he’s not holding back.
On Tuesday, June 10, the 31-year-old singer shared a sharp, four-word response on Instagram after a fan posted a screenshot of a text exchange with their grandfather, who said he was "worried" about Bieber and the "heartbreak" he may be experiencing.
“Worry about yourself gramps,” Bieber wrote in response.
The post comes amid renewed speculation over the singer’s mental state, spurred by a series of emotional and cryptic posts shared over the weekend. Just days after his wife, Hailey Bieber, closed a $1 billion deal to sell her beauty brand, Rhode, Bieber posted a message on Instagram lamenting "transactional relationships."
“If I have to do something to be loved, that’s not love,” he wrote.
He continued on Instagram Stories, sharing frustrations about the pressures of constant self-improvement:
“This is how I feel after people keep telling me there’s more work to do after I’ve given everything I have to give.”

Bieber expressed disillusionment with the idea of having to earn one’s place in life, writing, “There’s no end to trying to earn ur spot in this life because I tried. U have everything u need right now.”
The emotional posts prompted a wave of concern from fans, some urging him to “get help,” and others expressing sadness over what they perceived as signs of distress.
Even industry peers have weighed in. Songwriter Poo Bear, who has worked closely with Bieber, told The Hollywood Reporter in April, “Whatever he’s going through, I pray for him and hope he’s okay.”
One former team member echoed those concerns, claiming Bieber is “lost” and lacks a strong support system willing to challenge him:
“There’s no one protecting him because there’s no one there willing to say no to him,” they said.
Still, not everyone agrees on the severity of the situation. Another insider claimed Bieber is “trolling” fans, calling him “a male Britney Spears”, and suggested his behavior is a mix of humor and a desire for attention.
For now, Bieber seems to be pushing back against the narrative, but the public conversation around his mental health and who’s looking out for him isn’t likely to disappear anytime soon.
