More than a decade after Lady Gaga and Beyoncé dropped their unforgettable collaboration "Telephone," it looks like the long-promised sequel is still on the table.

In a recent Vanity Fair lie detector test interview, Gaga was asked whether the "To be continued..." message at the end of the 2010 music video would ever be fulfilled. Her response? A somewhat hesitant but definitive "Yes."

When pressed for a timeline, she admitted she didn't know. But things got even more interesting when she was shown a picture of Beyoncé and asked if the "Break My Soul" hitmaker would be part of the sequel. Gaga’s answer? A teasing "Maybe," accompanied by a smile.

The original "Telephone" video, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, was a cinematic event. Serving as a sequel to Gaga's "Paparazzi" visual, the over-the-top, Tarantino-inspired clip saw the duo go on a crime spree, complete with poison, diner murders, and an escape in the iconic Kill Bill Pussy Wagon.

With Gaga's upcoming album Mayhem dropping on March 7, fans speculate whether the sequel could tie into this new era. However, the album’s tracklist only includes one feature—French producer Gesaffelstein on "Killah"—making it unlikely that a new collaboration with Beyoncé is part of the project.

Still, if Mother Monster says the sequel is coming, fans somehow have a reason to stay hopeful.
