LeAnn Rimes proved the show truly must go on, even without a full set of teeth.
The Grammy-winning singer revealed in an Instagram video that she lost part of her dental bridge mid-song during a recent performance. While singing “One Way Ticket,” Rimes said she felt something pop in her mouth, realizing her front dental bridge had dislodged.
"I've had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front, and it fell out in the middle of my song," she explained. “I panicked. I ran to the side of the stage and popped it back in, and just went on singing.”
Rimes shared that she continued the rest of the show while discreetly holding her teeth in place between lyrics. At one point, during “Can’t Fight the Moonlight,” the bridge fell out entirely.
"It was the most epic example of how the show must go on,” she said. “I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening, or else I would’ve had to walk off stage.”
Despite the mishap, Rimes laughed through the memory and said she was proud of how she handled it. She also gave a light-hearted warning to fans in future front-row seats: “If you catch them, please return them.”
In a moment of reflection, she encouraged performers to embrace vulnerability: “If anybody ever has an issue on stage and feels embarrassed by it, just watch this video again, the show can go on even in the midst of sheer utter embarrassment.”
