Manon Bannerman, one of the six members of the global pop group KATSEYE, has announced a temporary hiatus from the group’s activities to focus on her health and overall well-being. The decision, communicated on February 20 via the group’s official Weverse channel and shared across platforms by HYBE x Geffen, follows open discussions among the members and full support from the group’s management.

In the statement, the group underlined that they remain unified and committed to fans, known as EYEKONS, as they continue with all planned performances and promotional activities during Manon’s absence. The statement made clear the hiatus is temporary, with the door open for Manon’s return “when the time is right.”

Here’s an un-boring way to invest that billionaires have quietly leveraged for decades

If you have enough money that you think about buckets for your capital…

Ever invest in something you know will have low returns—just for the sake of diversifying?

CDs… Bonds… REITs… :(

Sure, these “boring” investments have some merits. But you probably overlooked one historically exclusive asset class:

It’s been famously leveraged by billionaires like Bezos and Gates, but just never been widely accessible until now.

It outpaced the S&P 500 (!) overall WITH low correlation to stocks, 1995 to 2025.*

It’s not private equity or real estate. Surprisingly, it’s postwar and contemporary art.

And since 2019, over 70,000 people have started investing in SHARES of artworks featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso through a platform called Masterworks.

  • 23 exits to date

  • $1,245,000,000+ invested

  • Annualized net returns like 17.6%, 17.8%, and 21.5%

Manon, 23, first gained widespread attention as part of KATSEYE, a group formed through the 2023 reality competition series The Debut: Dream Academy. Since their debut in 2024, the group has become a standout act in global pop, achieving multiple Billboard chart entries, Grammy nominations, and high-profile performances.

Despite her pause from group duties, the remaining members — Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, Megan Skiendiel, Lara Raj, and Yoonchae Jeung — have pledged to uphold the band’s commitments, including upcoming shows and ongoing promotions. Fans have reacted with a mix of concern and support, highlighting the relentless pace faced by global pop acts and the importance of prioritizing personal well-being in an era of demanding schedules.

No official timeline has been shared for Manon’s return, but the group’s message of unity and positive anticipation suggests an eventual comeback once she feels ready.
