Miley Cyrus and Naomi Campbell are under fire after fans expressed frustration with their behavior at a London signing event held over the weekend.
The event, hosted at Rough Trade to celebrate the vinyl release of Cyrus’ new single Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved and her accompanying short film Something Beautiful, was expected to be a chance for fans to meet the singer in person. However, several attendees left disappointed, claiming they felt ignored as Cyrus and Campbell spent much of the time engrossed in conversation with one another.
Footage from the meet-and-greet circulated online showing the pair chatting animatedly while signing records. Some fans pointed out that this led to poorly timed or rushed photos, with Cyrus and Campbell often not looking at the camera or acknowledging the fans directly.
@pattypopculture The last fan desperately trying to talk to them and getting rushed out is SO SAD 😭😭😭
Social media reactions were swift. “You pay for a meet & greet to meet Miley Cyrus… and she totally ignores you because she’s busy chatting with Naomi Campbell,” wrote YouTuber Juanito Say, who shared a widely circulated video from the event. Other fans echoed similar sentiments, expressing disappointment in the lack of attention or personal interaction.
Cyrus later posted photos and a video from the signing on Instagram, thanking both Campbell and the fans who showed up. “Laughing with you is my favorite. I’ll miss you until we reunite. Love you forever,” she wrote to Campbell, also adding thanks to fans and encouraging others to buy the vinyl.
However, her comment section quickly filled with critical replies, with fans describing the interaction as “rude” and “disconnected.” Some even claimed they canceled their vinyl orders after seeing footage of the event.
After the signing, Cyrus and Campbell continued their night out in London, later being seen at an immersive experience in Covent Garden. Also in attendance was Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley’s father, accompanied by actress Liz Hurley. Their appearance follows Miley’s recent remarks about healing family tensions during her promotional run for Something Beautiful.
As of now, neither Cyrus nor Campbell has publicly responded to the backlash.
