Sabrina Carpenter Harassed by Paparazzi in France: “Shame on You!”

Sabrina Carpenter has found herself at the center of an unsettling viral moment after being aggressively heckled by paparazzi in France. The 25-year-old singer was seen shielding her face with a scarf as she entered a car while surrounded by photographers demanding photos.

Despite their initial pleas—“Sabrina, give us one shot” and “We know you’re nice”—their tone quickly turned hostile when she declined. Multiple voices erupted in chants of “Shame on you, Sabrina!” with others calling her “ridiculous” and even warning, “The fans will see this, Sabrina.”

The video quickly spread online, sparking outrage among fans who slammed the paparazzi for their behaviour. “She literally doesn’t owe you anything,” one tweet read, while another called their reaction “gross.” Many also drew comparisons to Chappell Roan, who has been vocal about setting firm boundaries with photographers, with some suggesting more artists should follow her lead.

Carpenter has not addressed the incident publicly, but the overwhelming support from fans makes one thing clear: she’s under no obligation to entertain intrusive photographers.
