Shakira Hospitalized, Cancels Peru Concert Amid Health Concerns

Colombian superstar Shakira has been forced to cancel her scheduled concert in Lima, Peru, after being hospitalized due to an abdominal issue. The singer shared the news on Instagram, explaining that doctors advised her against performing.

“The doctors whose care I am currently under have communicated that I am not in good enough condition to perform this evening,” she wrote. “I am very sad to not be able to take the stage today. I’ve been looking forward to reuniting with my incredible fans here in Peru.”

Shakira, who recently kicked off her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, assured fans that her team is working on rescheduling the show. She also expressed gratitude for the warm welcome she received in Peru before the health scare.

The singer is set to continue her tour across Latin America before heading to the U.S., where she is scheduled to perform starting May 13 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

No further details about her condition have been shared, but fans are wishing her a swift recovery.
