Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, reignited controversy with a string of inflammatory posts on X (formerly Twitter), where he retracted his 2023 apology for past antisemitic remarks and declared himself a Nazi. His latest statements, which included praise for Adolf Hitler, were part of a social media rant that began late Thursday night and continued into Friday morning.

“I’m never apologizing for my Jewish comments,” Ye wrote in one of the posts, which also included explicit language.

This stance marks a sharp reversal from his 2023 apology, in which he wrote in Hebrew, expressing regret for his prior statements and asking for forgiveness. That apology followed significant backlash, including major brands like Adidas severing ties with him.

Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, condemned Ye’s latest comments, calling them “a flagrant and unequivocal display of hate.” He added, “Words matter. And as we’ve seen too many times before, hateful rhetoric can prompt real-world consequences.”

Ye’s posts also touched on various other topics, including Elon Musk, Donald Trump’s inauguration, and his wife Bianca Censori’s Grammys outfit. He additionally claimed that he was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder and now believes he is autistic.

A representative for Ye has not responded to requests for comment.
